ABOUT THE FESTIVAL Roma 29 May – 1 June
The aim of the Festival is to let the European Jewish musical tradition be usable to Italian and foreign people. Each choir will perform traditional music of its own country. This event coincides with twenty year anniversary of the birth of Ha-Kol Choir which during these years has been the messenger in Italy and around the world of the important roman, Italian and international Jewish musical tradition. The Jewish Choir Festival that takes place in Rome, will be one more time the proof of the great cultural liveliness that the roman Judaism can express to citizenship through these very important cultural events.
The president of the Organizig Commitee is Mr. Richard Di Castro, President of Ha-kol Choir and board members of Ha-Kol Choir of Rome.
Prof. Andrea Orlando, the Ha-Kol choral director is the stage manger of the Festival.

The extraordinary participation of Tenor Claudio Di Segni and the Diocesi's Choir of Rome conducted by Mons. Marco Frisina.
All choirs will perform during two different concerts: The first will be on Thursday 29th May at the Argentina theatre, while the second, on Sunday 1st of June at Sala Sinopoli (Auditorium Parco della Musica) will be the final evening Gala concert of the Festival.
The event which will be promulgated by several media.
It was presented on 22th May 2014 at 10:30 (MUESO EBRAICO DI ROMA) during a press conference.

Wednesday 28 May

Thursday 29 May
|09:30||Welcome to all choristers and accompanying people in “Tivoli Room” at the Sheraton Rome Hotel. Brief welcome speech and presentation of the Festival Program.|
|10:30||Workshop for rehearsal of Gala Concert communal pieces.|
|14:00||Rehearsal time for individual choirs|
|16:00||Transfer from Hotel to Ghetto. Visit at Jewish Museum and Great Synagogue.|
|19:00||Light dinner for all choirs.|
|21:00||Opening Concert (reserved for Choristers and accompanying people) in Argentina Theater in Rome. Each choir will present a personal programme. Private transport will be provided to and from the theater.|
Friday 30 May
|09:30||Workshop for rehearsal of Gala Concert communal pieces at “Sala Cascate” at Sheraton Roma hotel|
|13:00||Lunch at foyer "Sala Cascate"|
|20:00||Shabbath Service at Sheraton Roma Hotel - “Sala Cascate”. Dinner at the end of the function at foyer Cascate of Sheraton Rome hotel.|
Saturday 31 May
|Free day - Breakfast at “Sala Cascate” in Sheraton Rome hotel|
|09:00||Sabbath service in Sheraton Rome hotel followed by Kiddush
|20:45||meeting in front of the Great Synagogue|
|21:00||Great party with music, sounds and dances and dinner at PITIGLIANI (Italian Jewish Center) – via Arco de' Tolomei, 1|
|Private transport will be provided from the place of the party back to Hotels|
Sunday 1 June
|09:00||On request, guided tour of Ancient Rome|
|14:00||Transfer from hotels to Auditorium Parco della Musica.
Choirs arrive at Gala Concert Music Halls - Rehearsals, sound checks etc
|18:00||Gala Concert (programme to include short speeches from our supporters).
Each choir will present a personal programme
The comunal pieces, previously studied in the workshops, will then be executed.
